I love the rain. I actually brighten up. Everything feels fresher.
burntsnowstorm: When it rains, I feel more inclined to smile… Something about the color of everything under the gloomy light seems right. I feel safer. My loneliness becomes a cliche and then I can laugh at it and it won’t bother me as much.

Into each life some rain must fall.

Very true Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, but why must this be equated with bad times.

Whenever rain falls into my life, literally or metaphorically, I always feel a bit more refreshed and balanced. Even under heavy rain you can feel that much stronger for walking through it. Like every drenched moment cleans away everything polluting your thoughts and emotions. You can feel clean, cold, and alive and just that much more coherent and free within your torrential downpour. My problem is that I don’t take steps in the rain. I stand it with my arms open, knowing clearly what I must do but reveling too much in wildness of the moment. But, fuck, I haven’t gotten pneumonia yet so why not enjoy the shield of the rain a bit longer.
