I am thankful to and for-

Christopher Nolan

Because it takes a very special man to present an entire body of work to the public and have that same public nearly-unanimously declare it perfect. Because he knows how to please the eye (with his gorgeous cityscapes and consistently well-dressed characters) and the mind (with his intricate, should-be-impossible plots made feasible and  exquisite character development & interaction) all at once. Because he is able to unite “mainstream” and “thoughtful” and is one of the only modern directors who seems to accomplish this task consistently and elegantly.

I am thankful for-

Food, specifically (in this case) Mocha Cheesecake

Because I just made it for the first time for this Thanksgiving, using the basic cheesecake recipe that Ivy gave me and modifying it blind, and it turned out unbelievably well. Speaking a bit more generally/seriously, I’m thankful that I don’t have to worry about where my next meal is coming from. Believe me, I am.

This is why I love Sara. Well, I mean it’s one of the myriad reasons, but it’s one of my favorite reasons. Because I have seen her actually use this tactic. It can actually work.
